Research

We have funded a major European research study testing our mono floral Chilean honey in their effectiveness against a range of pathogenic bacteria that are resistant to modern antibiotics. This work was done for us by a team of doctors at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. Not only was our honey a highly effective antibiotic but it reinforced all the work done by the team of Professor Gloria Montenegro at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.

Results have shown how Tineo honey is twice as effective as Manuka 17 at inhibiting the growth of a wide range of pathogenic bacteria including resistant strains of these bacteria.
